There are many words to describe burlesque superstar Dita Von Teese, and most of them aren’t faddish cheap compliments. For starters, she is one of the few dancers to epitomize 50s and 60s glamor. When I look at Dita, there are none of the masculine (a la Madonna) biceps and thighs. Her curves remind me of Marilyn Monroe and other female stars of a bygone era, many of which can be found on vintage erotic galleries (e.g. Bettie Page). In other words, real women.
